About Us
The Repairman Other Shops Send People To
Sean Hart has been repairing furniture for 31 years. He spent 15 of those at Art Van, learning the trade inside and out before deciding to go out on his own. Now he runs Help My Furniture, an in-home residential and commercial repair service based in Flint and serving all of Michigan.
His specialty is the work most shops turn away: caning, seat weaving, and big man chair repair. But if your furniture's in trouble, whether it's a loose joint, a torn seam, or something you don't even have a name for, chances are he's already fixed it.
More About Us
How It Works
The Help My Furniture Process
A clear, straightforward approach: honest assessment, quality work, and no surprises from start to finish.
Request a Repair Estimate
Call, text, or use the form. In most cases we'll need to come do an in-person inspection, but clear photos may occasionally be enough.
We Come to You
We schedule a visit anywhere in Michigan to assess the piece in person.
We Assess and Quote You On the Spot
We inspect the item and give you a clear quote. An $80 inspection fee applies and goes toward the repair if you move forward with us.
Parts Ordered if Needed
If parts are required, we source them and schedule a follow-up visit to install.
We Complete the Repair
Most repairs are finished in your home on the same visit, with no hauling and no dropoff. Caning and refinishing can't be done in-home, so we pick up the piece and bring it back when it's done.
